Liberal Democrat reshuffle

Labour and the Tories have had a reshuffle, so we have had one too. Details on the BBC site.

Despite its limited scope, their are things to welcome about it. Norman Baker is back and David Heath has a job that will suit his talents.

I am also pleased to see David Laws get the schools job. In recent years the Liberal Democrat approach to education has generally been to agree with the government in a grudging tone of voice. Laws may offer some fresh thinking.

That was my thinking on Laws's appointment.
We may get some liberal thinking in education, although it will upset some members...
