Adrian Sanders: Sound on badgers

I have been known to complain about Lib Dem MPs who seek to gain the votes of farmers by supporting the idea to a cull of badgers. Step forward, for instance, Tim Farron and Nick Clegg.

So congratulations to Adrian Sanders, who is quoted in Torquay's Herald Express as saying:

"I think they have made the right decision. The idea of culling half the badger population I think is wrong. It's a sledgehammer to crack a nut.

"I think we should be tackling the problem of TB within the small number of badgers that have been found to carry it.

"Take TB out of badgers, not take badgers out of the eco-system."

Britain's badgers salute you, Adrian. And so does anyone with a clear sense of where the Lib Dems should be going.
