Lib Dems choose Michael Mullaney to fight Bosworth again

Amid the carnage of 7 May 2015, Michael Mullaney's holding on to second place for the Liberal Democrats in the Leicestershire constituency of Bosworth counted as a considerable achievement.

Tonight he was again selected by Bosworth Lib Dems as their candidate.

If this parliament runs until 2020, the next election will be fought on new boundaries. But there are those who believe an early general election looks the logical choice for Theresa May.

Unbelievable that this under achiever has been selected again

Hmm? An under achiever Michael Mullaney who secured the biggest swing, by a candidate of any party, against a Tory MP in Britain at the 2010 election? Who took the Lib Dems from a distant third to a close second in Bosworth. Mullaney who got closer to winning Bosworth than any liberal candidate since they last won the seat in the 1930s. You call that under achieving? LOL. Go away Peter Orwell when it comes to psephology you're clueless

What a joke clearly you are clueless about psephology if you believe that. The Lib Dem result in Bosworth in 2010 and 2015 were massively positive compared to the national swing.

You're knowledge of electoral history in our area is clearly zero
