A Conservative MP for Harborough was the father-in-law of a member of the Rutles

The Anglo-American Ronald Tree sat as Conservative MP for Harborough MP between 1933 and 1945. Penelope Tree, the daughter he had with his his second wife Marietta, was a celebrated fashion model in the swinging sixties.

And Penelope was married for a while to the musician Ricky Fataar who, among many other things, was a member of The Rutles.

A clear winner of Trivial Fact of the Day, I think.

Later. More about the Trees here.

Fataar also played on the track Sailor, Sail On on the Beach Boys album 'Holland' (amongst others). A version of that track appears on the album "KGB" (from the band of the same name) which features Leicester born (and, sadly, died) bass player of distinction Ric Grech...not THAT's trivia!

Oops, my trivia contains an error. Ric was born in France but came to Leicester as a boy.
