£1m for historic buildings around Richard III's grave

From today's Leicester Mercury:
More than £1 million is to be spent polishing up Leicester's hidden architectural gems.
Scores of Victorian and Georgian buildings will receive some tender loving care to preserve historic features in the Greyfriars area.
The work will be carried out during the next five years, thanks to Heritage Lottery funding, which is being awarded in two phases.
Something else to thank Richard III for, I suspect. Let's hope the area is not left looking too tidy.
